Wahooooooo

Sir, I have the pleasure of reporting that this USCG officer did take and pass, on or about 18 April 2006, the USMC PT test.

One of my classmates ran just ahead of me to give me a target to hit, another joined in for the last mile, and about half of my classmates ran the last 500 yds with me.

I ran 3 miles in 27 mintues and 57 seconds.

To give you an idea of differences - as a staff Officer in the USCG I do not take PT tests and only have to weigh in every 6 months.  I had a good workout routine but had not run more than one mile for last 7 years before my Command and Staff school assignment.

Howdy Pony Racer,

Congrat's!!  I always had a real hard time running the mile in the old [1968-73] PT test in the USAR.

I danced hard for nearly an hour with my Argentine Tango instructor.  A pretty young blond, I might add! ;D ;D ;D  But no running.

Tks pards it feels pretty good to have completed that part of what I felt was important to accomplish while at school with the USMC.

Now to make final changes on my draft Master's thesis and get that degree!!

Acting Captain Poney Racer-

As you can now well attest, Marines understand the valule of comradeship and teamwork.

Well done.  I've taken many of these in the past and can appreciate the effort it took for you to complete the PFT.
