So how many pards are going to purchase this gun even though it is in 45Colt? If it will shoot 45 Scoldfield, I might go ahead and shoot it with my 58 Remmy that has a KirstKonverter that I am shooting 45 Scoldfield.

Major 2

I already did... 45 suits me just fine... that my cal. of chioce ... that and Sch.

So you don't get the wrong idea , I've orderd one several days ago, I don't have it or know for sure when I will.
But I've talk to Mike Harvey , and My FFL has it ordered.
I'll post a photo and report when it in hand ( unless someone else does first )
when planets align...do the deal !

I voted yes...but it won't happen until they bring it out chambered for 44 Colt/Russian (not 44 spl). :P  FWIW, I have two Cimarron Open Tops and one Richards Mason...and I've been wanting a Richards so bad that I went out and bought an early Cimarron/ASM Richards despite knowing about its potential problems ::)

Well, if they are being made in 44 Colt and 45 Colt, and there was an option to get one made in 44-40, then yes I would sell off my 44 Colt Open Tops for a new pair in 44-40.  Otherwise, probably not.

Captain John Jarrett

In .44Russian, Colt, even .44-40 YES.  In .45 NOPE, not my calibre.

I won't look a gift horse in the mouth. Where else are you gonna get one at all?  ;)

Forty Rod

Druther have one in .44 Russian, but I'd take a pair.
People like me are the reason people like you have the right to bitch about people like me.

Look for a pair in 45 Scoldfield 5.5" now.

Never mind my last comment.  The Model P Richards... I read about that last night in COLTs...

Yep, I called Cimarron, had my dealer call them and put me on their list.  I wish it were .44 Colt, but heck, I really want one, so I'll get it in .45.  All of my SAAs are .45, so there'll be plenty of ammo.

I am now pondering grips for it.  Jim the Engraver has some cool Mammoth Ivory and I think wants $300 or $350 per grip but lost his grip maker.  I got a pair of Tru-Ivory on one of my Cimarron SAA's but it took about 8 weeks (I guess that's not a long time in the big scheme of things, but darn, I like holden' them pistols at night.  :)

Anyway, hopefully they'll get them made soon, and I'll get my pistol.
