An "anti-dude" club is formed its members set fines for various infractions: $5 for carrying a cane, $10 for wearing kid gloves and a plug hat, and $20 for parting one's hair down the middle.

Boy howdy, I'm gonna be in trouble if'n I go down to Newton.  I got a cane, kid gauntlets, would wear a plug hat if someone will give it to me!  Oh, yeah, my hair is parted down the middle, only really, really, really wide!  

Slim, thanks for sharing that!  Got a good chuckle out of it.  Sitting here typing away in my 1920's white linen Palm Beach suit.  Well, it was 75 here this afternoon when I left the house.  Wahoooooooooo! Spring is here!!

I have heard that there is no law west of Abilene and no GOD west of Hays City.  I must add there is obviously no haberdashery marketing the latest in fine men's wear in Newton.
