Dick, the website looks good. I am saving my nickels and dimes for the big lubr in 250 gr. .45. I do wish you offered the two cavity mold also. I can never, well hardly ever, run a six cavity fast enough to keep it hot enough to run good bullets. I swear I can cast good bullets faster from a two cavity than the six.

You may be rite.  Sounds like yer running a 10 lb. or smaller pot.  I've cast lots of Big Lube^tm bullets with LEE six cavity molds, but I did have to wait for the temp to come back up after adding ingots.  Then, I started adding pre-melted metal.  Made a real difference.

Now, I use a 20 lb. pot and it's great.  Mason Stillwell prefers the 220 volt model that costs the same but does even better.  I think he's on to something.

Howdy the wire,

I placed two orders near the same time at LEE Precision.  The 38-55 and 45-70 molds were one order and Mav Dutchman and DD/ROA were the other.  Last week Wednesday I picked up the Mav and DD/ROA molds.  They were done ahead of schedule.  The DD/ROA needed new tooling since the rebated base was reduced two thousandths for easier loading in dirty cylinders.

Both of the new designs need new tooling also.  But, I do expect to hear from LEE soon.  When I placed the order I got the standard party line answer that LEE produces all custom mold designs in 120 days or less.  I think they will fall well inside this limit.

This is a good place for me to report progress, so keep yer eye on this thread.
