What Lube to use with Goex's Pinacle Powder?

Greetings and Salutations to the Dark Lords of the Soot.

Here's my dilema.  I've been shooting Black Powder since I was 18.  Learned to shoot an Original Brown Bess Musket and how to clean it with Hot Soapy Water.  I was always told by my mentor to use either spit or crisco to lube the patches that wrapped around the round ball.

As the years went by other products came along to replace the True Black Powder.  Pyrodex came around in the 1970's and more recently 777, APP, and Pinacle.

For cartridge guns using BP or Pyrodex I use either SPG or my own mix of Bee's Wax, Crisco, and Bore Butter with an ounce of Murphy's Oil Soap to give me a stiff but soft lube to put in my Lubrisizer.

APP seem to handle the hard wax smokeless lubes with no problem, 777 appears to use either type of lubricant with no detrimental results.

So, What is the best Lube to use for Pinacle?  Is it like APP and gums up the bore with a traditional Black Powder Lubricant or does it produce its own lubricant like APP.

I'd like to think that Goex designed this stuff so one can use SPG or its equivalent.  Anyone who can lead me to a solution would be doing me a favor.

It`s true APP makes Pinnacle for Goex ... i would think maybe its the APPgold mix .. but same stuff different can .

Just use regular smokeless bullet lube.

Howdy Grapeshot,

I load ammo with APP with the same lube I use for Heathen Smokeyless Fad Powder.  Same boolits too.  I've found that it will handle the LEE tumble lube setup just fine.  FWIW, I've got a 44 Cal LEE six cavity tumble lube mold that I'd be happy to part with at a good price.  Those boolits aren't suitable for Holy Black, but they're fine with subs.
