update on my project gun

I got my Drop-in R&D Cyl from Triggersmith...

It is a drop-in (in that it does drop in)... however, In Second Gen. Colt BP series (circa 1979) the timing is off a smidge.
It will revolve with out the barrel but together the pall is cramped.
It's not a pinch, but the star on the Cyl. will need a little adjustment.
It the same on both my 2nd. Gens.
So the cyl. will be tweaked by my "smith" ... yeah I could send it to R&D and wait and wait and wait... or for $20 my guy will have it Monday, beside it would cost that much to mail it out to R&D.

My Smith is also replacing the bolt and spring, there was a smidgen of play (rock) not bad , for 27 years of shooting and renacting.

ZANADU.... looks right 

Yeah  I bought # 1 in 78 or early 79 , I've literally used and cleaned the blue off that gun. I  browned it a few years ago.
It's the one that was a smidgen loose with a very slight rock.

#2 is circa 1980-1 , I bought it in 1999 still NIB but from an owner/collector, It now sports a bit of Cyl Ring and a light bit of holster rash on the right side of the barrel.
Otherwise it is perfect & tight.

I was torn as to which to convert ( if I was to have a gate cut,  #1 was the choice ) For pure looks #2 might get the nod )
Being some smithing was needed and old #1 has a soft spot in my heart.
It was my first choice... and so it will become my shooter, paired with my Opentop.
#2 will remain C&B

I have great expectations and faith in what Mike Harvey said to me.
I ordered my 2nd model Richards sight unseen, Mike said "look at the website next week for a peek" !
If and I expect it will be as nice as my Opentop , I'll be.... well in ZANADU!

Ain't much to look at but it is one slick shooter.
Had a Smith fit and time the old 2nd Gen for the R&D, slick as snot and locks up solid.
I'll work on the looks
