I was wandering around an online auction and found a Ruger Single Six unmodified three-screw going for over $440.00! Holy cats! I paid $215.00 for this one of mine and it's in the same condition. I found some similar prices on another auction site.

I was going to get a bullet trap and set up a range in the basement before the wife makes it into a bedroom suite, but now I think I might maybe possibly think about considering if I could get that much for it. I like it a lot, have something like 1000+ rounds of .22 of various types to heat it up with, but that's a nice little pile of swag. What do y'all think?

It's only worth that much to someone who wants it. There's a lot of them out there already. The 4 5/8" Single Six three screw is the most popular.

If I had one that wasn't like new in the original box, I would just shoot it.

This is truth, Big John. The highest bids were on the 4-5/8" barrel guns and mine is a 6-1/2". I'll take the advice and have a good time shooting it, and maybe My Lovely Bride will deign to be instructed in plinking wth a handgun. Thanks for helping me decide!
