So how many pards are going to purchase this gun even though it is in 45Colt? If it will shoot 45 Scoldfield, I might go ahead and shoot it with my 58 Remmy that has a KirstKonverter that I am shooting 45 Scoldfield.

No, I can't tell either. Maybe someone who saw at the show can tell us. I wonder if you one now in 45 Colt if they will make 44 Colt cylinder that can replace the 45. Shoot healed bullits or have the barrel sleeved.

Seth, ALL Uberti conversions are roll engraved & no the ejector is not too short.

I think Seth means the ejector rod.  The one pictured does appear to be shorter than originals. The rods on average, extended out of the housing, at least to the front edge (cylinder edge) or past the wedge.  This is based on the available pictures from McDowell's book and a new others.

They varied, some (ejector rods) were longer & some were shorter. I have seen 2nd Model Richards with both long & shorter rods.

Major 2

I have photographs of several originals, three show the rod as short , that is extending from the tube to the aprox. center of the wedge ( as the Cimmaron is )
Another has the rod longer extending beyond the rear of the wedge about 1/4 inch.
The tube/housing is in the near same location in front of the wedge.

when planets align...do the deal !
