Howdy,

I got the Spencer Carbine Civil War cartridge box from EBAY.  Looks great!  Longer and shorter (top to bottom) than the standard carbine box.  Has 20 holes for the 56-56 or 56-50 Spencer.  Looks identical to the one in the other post and in an archival picture of a Spencer box owned by a member of the California 100 (Co. A, 2nd Mass. Volunteer Cavalry) in 1864.  Here's the vendor's email address:  <jacalynbsmith@earthlink.net>  Maybe he has more.  I only paid $35 plus shipping of about $6.50

See my great photos below!

I noticed this repro has a straight stich on the flap over the rivet instead of the semi-circle as in the picture of the original in the other post on this list.  On checking, however, the photo of James Wood's Spencer Cartridge Box (original) on the 2nd MASS homepage shows his  has straight stitching here also.  This is not surprising as In the photo you can see it is stamped "Gaylord & Co".  Gaylord also used the straight stiching on holster flap in stead of the semicircle used by others on the 1860 Holsters.

It looks just like mine but I don't have the copper rivet.  I also had to the enlarge the holes in order to fit the Spencer casing.
