Howdy:
I'm still looking for a lever-gun in .38 spl to go with my '58 Remington's.  I'd posted a similar request for your opinions when I was looking at Rossi '92's. The feedback I got told me that it might not be the best choice. I'm thankful for the help on that, and now I've discovered another possible choice. Does anyone out there have some thoughts and/or experience with a Hartford, brass receiver, saddle-ring carbine with round, 20 inch barrel in .38 spcl/ 357 magnum.?? I really like the look of it, but.........?
I found one on the internet for just a hair under $400.00. I'm currently shooting two .45 LC Vaqueros, and a '66 Uberti Yellowboy short rifle in like caliber. I'm trying to do the .38 set-up a touch on the cheaper side without doing something dumb. Oh yeah, I've heard that some lever-guns will not handle both .357 magnum and .38 special ammo even though advertised as being able to. Any truth to this??
Any and all thoughts are welcome,
'preciate it.
