This cowboy action shooting is addictive.  I have purchased two Uberti 1873 Cattleman revolvers (actually listed Tristar Regulator and EMF Frontier Marshall)  and an Uberti 1875 Outlaw in the past 2 months.  They all 3 shoot great.  What kind of mods are usually good to perform on these, such as polishing?  I have already disassembled down to the last screw and cleaned.  I just realized I should have put this post in the "Gunsmithing" section.

I'll help ya with that, sir----Arcey

I have a safe full of them and have shot them exclusively since about spring of 2001.  All I've done to them is shoot them some out of the box to help me find the wear patterns.  Polish out anything I don't like to see.  Then I put Wolff spring kits in them.

I've broken one bolt, one firing pin, a couple bolt/trigger springs and a hand spring.

All I did was name it 'n get it started. The posse made it great. A debt I can never repay. Thank you, mi amigos.

I think you are on the right track with cleaning and stoning any rough areas and shooting them for awhile to see how they do.
