GRAND GALA FOOD EVENT!!!

Okay, folks, here it is:

Saturday, 18th of March, noon at Tom Muley's place in Phelan, CA the Grumpy Lunch Bunch is having a lunch catered by Tom and Rooster, maybe some others.

Cost is $10.00 a head payable in advance (We'll have to let you know where to send the money).

Everyone's invited and encouraged to bring family and friends (if you have any of either one), work associates, new folks to the sport, those interested but not yet involved, neighbors, etc. Coffee will be provided, but you have to bring your own water, soft drinks, and eating utensils and dinner ware.

Several people have suggested a desert contest and/or a chile cook-off.  I need opinions on that, and who will be interested in participating.  If we decide to go with either one, cooks will need to bring your own cookin' equipment, ingredients, and fire wood.  Can't have ol' Tom providin' any of that.  Challenges will be considered.

You can come in costume, but it ain't no way required...whatever you're comfortable with.  Dress for the weather.

Tentative menu is gonna be stew, spuds, beans, maybe biscuits, an' possibly peach cobbler.

You have almost two months to get ready an' make arrangements for this event.  The only things that will derail it are rains within  the week before or disinterest.

C'mon out an' have fun.  The only agenda is to eat, mingle, ad enjoy.

I'll post more info as we go along, an' maps an' directions will be up about thirty day s before we eat.

Sounds good and sure wish I could make it there, Rod. Food is one of my favorite subjects and pass times. Since smoking termination I can smell it from a mile away.

Most pards I know favor the chuck. On my way out of Houston ahead of Rita I saw this CAS cowboy, his name rimes with saladin,  standing on the side of the road holding a sign that read, "Will shoot for food. "

Not knowing where my next meal was coming from or when I kept on a trucking'.

Is Tom Muley's place a resteruant or his home?I would love to go,tell me where to send the ten.I was born in Mojave.My dads Uncle owned a resteruant there,i think it was called Jesses or somethin like that,and his other uncle was a contractor,he could con a tractor better than anybody.They built the runway at Edwards air base and i have a good story about the place.Get off my butt and go meet some shooters and such.Hope Howdy Doody goes,i been wantin to meet him..Thanks for the invite sir..
