Has anyone here had Bobs action work done on their revolvers either option 1 or 2?  Was it worth the price?

I have one friend that has a handful of pistols with Munden action work done on them. He loves them. Every pistol I've held that he has done is smooth as butter. My cousin had a couple of his done, too and they are the same. Are they worth the price? That would surely depend on what you want your pistols to feel like. I don't know that I'd lay out that kind of money but lots of people do and they have no regrets I've ever heard.

At the SASS convention, I was taking a couple of friends around to check out gunsmiths to do their Ruger work.  They checked out Bob Munden's products and then went down the isle to Wes Flower's work.  They never went back to Bob Munden's booth.

The nice thing about Bob is he will work on imported clones and make them the best that they can be.

Do you have this Wes Flower guys website, cause I've never heard of him.  I have a pair of 5 1/2 inch Taurus Gaucho pistols on lay away and would be intersted in future action work being done.  I was going to go with the new vaquero but my dealer has heard to many stories of cracked frames and cylinders.

The only stories I have heard about this are folks that have tried to shoot loads through them that are Blackhawk/Vaquero loads. The New Vaquero is more of a Colt Clone and not as beefy as the Vaquero or the Blackhawk, thus is not able to handle the same pressures as the original. If I had the choice between the New Ruger and the Gaucho, I'd go with the Ruger. Just my dos centavos.

If I was going to have a Colt SAA worked on, it would only go to Bob Munden. Just about anybody can work on a Ruger, but Munden is the best on a Colt that I know of.
