Here are some photos of my Uberti 1860 Henry along with the bandoleer and cartridge box I designed and made for my Henry. The cartridge box was patterned after a picture of the only one ever made for the Henry. The difference being, the original had cartridge trays that pushed up from the bottom and mine has 3 slides that hold 16 cartridges each. The box is designed to either carry using the bandoleer, or two straps that can hook to your gunbelt.  Together they carry about 96 rounds.  sounds heavy but it's quite comfortable. Take a look.

Now that looks great. Thanks for the pics. I really like it. Was the bandolier copied after an original?

No the bandoleer was my own design.  I looked around a bit and used some ideas from a lot of different ones.

What is the pattern on the belts? that looks kinda nice. Is it a particular embossing stamp?

Triggersmith

The pattern is a combination of whatever size veiner you want to use,  the number6300 sunburst stamp, and a seeder stamp.  It has sort of become my trademark for my border work.  Help yourself.  Thanks for the inquiry.

I did.  The blade came from Dixie Gun works as did the cast nickel silver parts.  The handle is carved from a piece of African blackwood. Also from Dixie.

Hey, these really look nice.  My Henry 45LC would really like to hunker up with them, even thought he's a Henry Repeating Arms Big Boy.
Congrats on your design.

Is that the Searles Blade ?
In fact would you share the Dixie Part #'s that is nice job !

btw... your choice in guns is the same as mine ,Henry & 1860's that Bowie fits right in.

Here are the part #'s at   www.dixiegunworks.com  for the Searles Bowie

KE 6072  blade
PE 7006  guard-brass
PE 7007  guard-nickel silver
PE 7008  ferrule-brass
PE 7009  ferrule-nickle silver
PE 7010  pommel-brass
PE 7011  pommel-nickle silver
PE 5606  African blackwood.   there is a wide choice of woods to choose from

the blade is finished beautifully, the tang needs to be ground a bit,  the guard needs to be fitted to the blade very carefully, as does ferrule.  the pommel has to be finished, drilled and tapped.
contact me at bluesman@acd.net and I can help you through the rough spots.  I have built two of them.
Take it slow and easy and you will have a beautiful Bowie.

Some real nice work there.  The bullet loops look like a complete circle, how did yoy make them?

those are laced loops. I use a strip of 4 to 5 oz leather 3/4 inch wide and lace the strip in and out of slots cut in the belt.  Some people prefer to sew them on.  I don't.
Thank you sir

Triggersmith, I though they might be laced, but then they looked so round I wasn't sure.

Thanks for the info.
