   ;) ;) Hi pards:

After being waiting near a year and half, finally!, I have gotten it. I have a new and magnificent Colt Walker, (made by Uberti).  :D :D
Maybe you think that it is not a great news, but here in Spain and for me it´s it, ( it´s very difficul to get it). This has been my Christmas gift. And now I need your help: ??? ???
    -  I would like to know if anybody knows some web where I can buy a holster, type Slim Jim, (all the holsters that I have seen are military model and I prefer a "civilian" model, but perhaps this was not real in that time, I don´t know).

   - And, I don't bother you more, I would like to know loading data for this revolver,  What quantity of gunpowder did it load?

PS: I don't know if I have put this topic in the appropriate place into the forum.  ??? (this is important for me)

  Muchas Gracias a todos.

Buenos Dias, Spanish Marshal:

I imagine any good leather worker could custom make a holster to fit any revolver you want, but I see that Dixie Gun works carries an in-stock Slim Jim style holster for the Walker:

Hola Marshal,
I have two Walkers. Resist the temptation to load them fully with fine grained powder (3Fg or 4Fg). My standard load is 44grs 2Fg, a lube wad under the .454cal ball + grease over the ball and a #10 Remington cap. When I shot a more powderful load of 50grs 3Fg (FFFg) black powder it crushed the wedges and the cylinder gap opened up to where I was getting lots of flame blowing upward but leaking pressure. I was lucky. It could have been a stretched cylinder pin and two ruined guns. Replacing the wedges restored them. If you use FFg BP and keep the loads at or under 45grs (approximately 3cc) of FFg you will be fine. The gun may take 50-55grs powder under a ball but you are asking too much of the gun's design. Enough of the originals blew up that Colt redesigned the gun and came up with the Dragoon series that have a loading lever latch, shorter barrels, and shorter cylinders so they couldn't be over loaded. A few years later better steels allowed Colt to make lighter guns that still have  enough powder (1860 Army). The loading lever is less likely to fall with the FFg powder than with the more abrupt ignition of FFFg. I do not recommend the use of conical balls as that also stresses the gun too much if overloaded. Email me if you have a problem with the latch falling. It is a fairly simple fix if needed.

Not walker s but I have Dragons. 30 Gr of FFG and a fiber wad works FANTASTIC.
Also If yer powder is as hard to get as your guns you will enjoy the less amount of powder per shot.
