AWA Peacekeeper, Thunderer Nickel??

Local online auction had 2 of these a couple days ago, I only won one 
I read about the AWA history and have seen pictures of Thunderers but I have never seen anything about Nickel ones?

Looks nice.  I've seen other nickle AWA's before, but if I ever knew that they made a model with a Thunderer grip then I forgot about it!

Some Lustrum ago, I spent several seasons (Colorado) shooting a pair of Nickel Uberti (Cimarron) Thunderer's in 45 Colt with Three and a Half Inch barrels.  I had a partner in crime at one time who was also shooting Nickel Thunderer.  I discovered later his were AWA.  REALLY nice guns.

Not only did the AWA Thunderer annoy Make Harvey, AWA managed to really draw the Ire of Colt.  Colt was annoyed enough to hit the courts and sue AWA out of business.

After the demise of AWA, one of the principals of AWA brought the moniker back as AWA USA.  AWA USA also marketed some REALLY nice guns.  Those included a nice Lightning Rifle that actually worked and a great Coil Main Spring system for SAs (Wish I had a dozen of those coil conversion kits).
