 :) No, it ain't for me  ;)

An acquaintance who wishes to dabble in the Dark Side went looking for a Sub (APP) and some All Knowing Nitwit in a big box store sole him a couple pounds of 777 as it was "the same stuff."

Any you guys out there shooting 777 inna .38??  Gotta pet load to start with??

Most forgot:  Howz about 12Ga for a light CAS load??

Drydock

Have used it for a number of years now. Fill to the base of the bullet with no more than light compression, and it will deliver consistant velocity and minimal, nom cumulative fouling. Velocity will be close to the standard spec for the caliber. Or a .38 spl 150 grainer will be around 800 fps. Standard primers and moderate crimp. Clean with plain water and oil as normal. Cases dropped in plain water will be clean and ready to load after drying.  You will need to use bp lubed bullets for best results.

For shotgun, load 2.5 drams volume, nitro wad, cushion wad, 1 oz shot. Over shot card and crimp.

You will see where 3f 777 is not recommended for cartridges This is because a full case of 3f  in the 45 Colt will exceed SAMMI spec for that cartridge. Then again so will a case of 3f OE or Swiss.  I like using such powders in cases like the 38s, 44 Russian, 45 CS etc.
