Howdy from Germany,

I ordered these fine SAA in 45LC several years ago with the Long hunter tuning. Always nice shooting with them.
For the last years I switched to .38 Revolvers but still love to shoot  these USFA from time to time.
How do I find out the production date and what they might be worth today?

Thx in advance and all the best,

Chris

I am not the most knowledgeable person on USFA but since nobody else has replied I will give what info I can. The S in the serial number means they are late production thus they are 100% made in the USA. That should make them more valuable than the early production Italian or Italian-USA hybrids. They are Rodeos so not as valuable as Premium blue/color case or Pre-War blue/color case. Since they are from Long Hunter they have the jeweled hammer and they probably have the coil springs, some would consider that a plus and some would rather have a regular version. Since they have been shot they are not super collectible. I would guess you might get about $1200 each, plus or minus about $200.
