Tisas 1911. Forged steel no plastic and they work.

I purchased one of these for Wild Bunch, it works well. I have other 1911's, but they are a lot more expensive than this gun. I bought the Tisas because it was cheap and was in the would qualify for either wild bunch class. I've been very surprised at the performance of this "cheap gun". It really shoots lights out.

I have a Colt 1991A1 Government model, one of the originals with the so called billboard engraving and matt finish. Excellent gun, would be great for this game.

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

Thanks to everyone for their advice.  I decided to stick with my Springfield Garrison and have it tuned up.

Not trying to stir the pot here....

I own a LOT of 1911's. Seven are Springfields. Every single one runs a house a fire straight out of the box. My Colt is the worst. Two basic Rock Islands are flawless in operation, just not as "pretty." The Kimber was trash, it found a new home. Para Ordinance is good, not my go-to. What I'm trying to say here I guess is not to get all hung up on "top end." I like reliable. In WB I find 50% of it is your ammo. Now I'm starting to ramble, so I better go.

Being that this is still America, get what you want. ;D

Mine is a Kimber. It's very reliable - no failures to fire ever in thousands of rounds, mostly my reloads. And accurate - very.

Been using chip mccormick mags for matches. All of my1911s run them. The most pricy 1911 I've got is one of the Colt WW1 1911 reissues. Nice authentic looking pistol but it has a lot of very sharp edges that will cut you. I've stopped using it for that reason years ago. Lately been using an older Thompson Auto Ordnance or my Cimarron Rock Island.

Update do not  let the price fool you. The Tisas 1911A1 is as well built as any of my 1911's including my NM Gold Cup. I cannot understand how Tisas can produce such a high quality gun for around $400.
Very "period correct" except for a couple of small details.
Check it out.
