I think the higher angle of the camera makes it look closer than it really is.  Everyone is very conscious of where the dogs are.  I let several low flying birds go, due to that.

Great stuff!  Were the birds wild or planted.  Looks like a lot of fun.  Around here one really has to beat the brush to get that many chances on quail in a day.

They are planted,  that place is a pretty large commercial outfit.  I think they can run 20+ guided hunts a day.

Subject should be changed to Quail shoot.  There was no hunting involved.  Shooting is a lot of fun, my BIL is part owner of a quail shooting plantation.  But, we need to be clear about what is what.
