Hello CAS Friends,

Do any of y'all know if replacement conversion cylinders/conversion rings/ejectors, etc for the Pietta/Uberti conversion
revolvers be had?If do, from whom? I have searched through Taylor's and VTI parts listings and see nothing for the conversion revolvers.

Please advise.

Thanks. They only carry the conversion cylinders that they make.

I am seeking direct replacement parts for Pietta/Uberti conversions. There has to be replacement cylinders and conversion rings and ejectors available, from some place.

Abilene

Look again.  The conversion rings and cylinders and ejectors can be had from VTI, Cimarron, etc.  Every part except the frame can be bought.

Pietta does not make conversions.

Just to reiterate, Pietta does not make any sort of conversion.  The only conversion parts for Pietta are from Kirst Konverter, which includes the Cylinder, Breach Ring and Two Step Hand, or the R & D type two piece drop in cylinder from Howell Old West Conversions and Taylor's and Midway USA has been known to carry Howell cylinders.

1858 ARMY CONVERSION New Army
AVAILABLE CALIBERS:  .45 Colt
Available Models:   341001

This has been offerd by Taylors, and in the past they offered replacement parts. A friend purchased a cylinder and "conversion" ring from them and I bought a pair of "conversion rings" .
These are splendid rings which must be fitted and " driven on" a stock percussion revolver, but with careful filing and fitting and patience it does work, yielding a revolver permanently modified into a cartridge conversion. This is yet another of my projects stuck in limbo...

However since a bit before covid MANY parts have been listed "out of stock" and last I looked no parts for the "conversion" model were available.

Best bet is to contact Taylors (whose website is down as of 2am mst june 5 ) or VTI specifying the aformentioned uberti model info.

Here is a test report on it

Hope this helps

Are these Uberti Markings? Looking at the way the rammer enters the frame puts me in mind of a Pietta product??? Just trying to clarify......

I stand corrected , it seems Cimaron may have the parts

https://www.cimarron-firearms.com/1858-new-model-army-conversion-parts.html

Those parts are for the gated conversion, but is there a listing for the Preacher/Angel eyes conversion??

Major 2

Cheyenne Logan

Everyday you learn something, Pietta DOES make a conversion, they make the 1858 "Angel Eyes" and "Preacher" for Cimarron! Confirmed by Valerie.......thought those guns had Pietta profiles.....;)

Cheyenne Logan

Another interesting thing is that Cimarron has the Preacher/Angel eyes conversion cylinders in stock as parts!! ;D and reasonably priced!!  Six shot, made by Pietta for their 1858.
