Hello all I'm new here and a new owner of a 56/56. I'm looking for some help on bullet size and a mould. The gun did come with some brass and a set of dies but no really reloading information. I slugged the barrel and used calipers and it came out to .5385 is what I was getting.I'm just not sure what bullet/mould and sizing die to use. I shoot with the n-ssa so I will be shooting black powder and not sure on the charge.
Any advice and suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Hi get in touch with Two Flints and El Supremo.  They're good people and can help you. They helped me alot. Regards, Joel Foss (6thMissp)

Accurate Molds will customize any of their molds free of charge.  I've had great success with their 51-330 design. Have the crimp groove eliminated so you can adjust the cartridge OAL to work with your rifle.

He'll need to know what alloy you'll be using. I've had great success with 20:1

Have the mold sized to drop bullets .002 over bore if you are going to use a lube-a-sizer or .001 over if you plan to pan lube.

You can get sizing dies from Buffalo Arms

Buffalo Arms sells a .539 56-56 Spencer mold, might give them a call. Jw
