This topic is in the SORI Thread, but I am repeating it here since we have been adding quite a few new members to SSS, who have questions about Spencer Centre-fire conversion.

Part 2:

and another video that shows the Inner Workings of the Spencer (1865 Model)

Thanks, Two Flints:

This SORI Thread and great video caused me to try STARLINE 50-70/90 cases as an alternative to Rocky Mountain's that had a long lead time and higher cost.  In the process I learned:
1. I had to watch and listen carefully to the video to realize the case is rotated in the chop saw to complete the cut.
2. I was concerned that the STARLINE brass wall thickness at the shorter body length would have a thicker wall and require mouth reaming.
Not so for me.  This saves a lot of work.
3. Sedalia Dave found a case trimmer, LYMAN, that has a cutter DIAMETER sufficient to completely clean up the cut mouth.  I had struggled with a Forster that was a tad smaller.
Never too old to learn.
The SORI sections save lots of searching time.  Smiles.
