Hey All!
Just joined the group in hopes of finding some parts for my original Lightning rifle project. It's mixed numbers and just planning for a shooter when I start competing in my local club shoots. I'm needing a magazine stop, magazine tube, hammer and possibly a barrel. I have the receiver and lower tang, slide, trigger, carrier, top cover, trigger spring, and magazine stop spring and the associated pins and screws. If you can point me toward any of the parts I'm missing I'd be super appreciative. I've checked the usual online places (eBay, Numrich, OAoI, and Homestead). I have an original 1873 Winchester 44 cal. Carrier block I can use as trade if wanted. Thanks!

Have you tried parts from replicas like Uberti, Taurus, etc.?

I think I have most of the parts you indicate but they are for an AWA Lightning in 45 Colt. If they would work I would sell them.

There is no reliable source for original Lightning parts.  With the few parts you have you would be better off buying a complete one and using yours for spare parts.  I have put some AWA parts in original Colts but AWA has been out of business for years.  If Lucky has what you need I would try putting them in.  The only way to get original parts is for someone to have broken down an original for parts.  If that is the case chances are the parts are worn or they would not have sacraficed the rifle.  Good luck.
