Gentlemen, Does anyone have any old loading manuals with Unique or Red Dot loads for .30-40 Krag with a 220 grain cast bullet?  I don't even know if such a load exists, but it's worth a try here.

12 grains of Unique with any bullet weight works well in the Krag.
Civilize them with a Krag . . .

My old '70's vintage Lyman manual for a 213 gr. bullet lists 8.0 - 11.o grs. of Unique. I personally love Red Dot for .30 caliber cast bullet loads and in a Krag would probably start at about 6.0 gr. and work up to 10 or so.

I have been using 10.4 of A2 throw my standard 5.2 grain pistol load twice.
