Greetings all,
I have an interesting dilemma. I need to make a .45 Colt blank with smokeless powder or non corrossive powder.. Reason being it will be used in a replica Gatling Gun and using "Black" makes it very very difficult to effectively clean. Gatling is a Civil War 1862 model with chamber fire system..  where loaded chambers are mechanically pushed up to the rear of the barrel and there is a certain amount of gas leakage..
I have read that smokeless blanks can be made but pressures are a concern..
Is there a way to do this and get a respectable "pop" and not exceed pressure limits?
We currently fire live smokeless rounds in this gun and it was made for them.
I currently have Trail Boss, Unique and Red Dot on hand and standard Colt cases and some 5 in 1 cases
Looking forward to replies

Thanks
Bill
