Well, if yours looks like the ad, you should be a happy camper.  Post pics when you get it.  Is this for CAS?

The wood on my looks even nicer, to hard to post pictures on here and having to reduce the quality so much to post with size limit. Not for CAS, I have the 1860 Henry Ironside and 1866 so the only one I was missing is this 1873. My other two are Uberti's and for the 1873 I wanted a Winchester and since the other two are in 45 Colt, I wanted another Caliber

I've got a '73 Winchester (Miroku) Deluxe in 44-40 that I've been shooting for CAS several years now.  I've been extremely please with it.  Other than adding a Marbles tang sight, I shoot it as it came from the box.  Beautiful wood, nice action - no tuning needed.

Pretty hard to get more real in a cowboy lever gun than a  model 1873 in 44 WCF!  (smokey style of course!)

It's a wrong Century thing. Understanding hot lead and white smoke traveling down range is truly an acquired taste and smell!

Very pretty, would love to see real pix when you get it.

I have the same rifle and in the same caliber. I bought it sight unseen and really got lucky on the wood. It is a terrific shooter. Don't want to hijack your post or I would post photos of mine.

I have a Win 44/40 in a '73. I don't know if I like it better than my 73 that is in 38/40 that was manufactured in 87.
It does shoot a trifle faster but then it's over 100 years newer also.

A very handsome '73. But owning it would really hurt my cas stage times as I'd have to take so much care putting it back on the prop after shooting it.

I've looked over the Shooter's Handbook, and I can't find anything that would prevent you from bringing your own pillow to the firing line to lay the rifle on.   ;D
