>:(  YES!!  ARRAGAH !!   ;)

I feel some dumb.  I/we live in a small town.  Our last LGS shut its doors several years ago, and when in business, wasn't much.  SO:

I have been reduced to Wally World for basic gun cleaning supplies.  Wally World apparently, doesn't want to support much in the way of gun business anymore.  I was unable to find 12Ga bore brushes.  I am/was some annoyed.  AND:  Was stomping around the hacienda making rude comments about Wally World (I hate the place anyway).  THEN:

My Sweetheart asks innocently "Have you looked on Amazon??"  Since we live in a small town, she shops extensively on Amazon.  What??  Says I??  "Look on Amazon" says She Whom Must Be Obeyed.  "Never even thought of that" says I.  (quietly opens Lap Top).  Huzza!!  Eureka!!

Not only does Amazon have the object(s) of my desire . . . . FREE Shipping.  I must admit, she does describe me as her very favorite Luddite.  Sheesh

It used to be the Home Shopping Network that was the bane of the American home. Clowns, frilly pillows, jewelry, all from the comfort of your living room. Just call the number, and it was shipped to your door. Now, it's Amazon. One click is all it takes.

I hate it when the missus gets a buzz going. All manner of things show up in the middle of the day.

Good luck!
Of course, AMAZON created the death of local vendors in the first place...
and the free shipping is not a sustainable model, cuz .. TANSTAAFL  (There Aint No Such Thing As A Free Lunch).

watch your topnot when dealing with Amazon.

it is the new evil lurking about, and Bezos is its king.
Oh, and he is a lying cheating sunny beach.

re Amazon:
the descriptions are iffy.
the reviews are mostly false, posted by paid shills. (yes, really)
what you order may not be what you recieve. (has happened several times to me)
amazon claims easy refunds... if the vendor is really amazon.
some vendors are impossible to get a refund from, and you have little or no recourse except your credit card company.
Amazon is also well known for repackaging returns as "new other stuff" and off it goes, clothing in particular.

If you are "shopping" ... Amazon can be a nightmare.
If you know the exact make, model and number of the item you want you will have a more harmonious outcome.
If it is stuff like "12 ga brushes" or 4x32 screws 1 inch long you ought to be fine.

Oddly I have better luck with vendors that sell on Ebay...

YMMV

some stuff is great, if it is an american company
if its a chinese vendor... not so much

I have gotten to the point where if I use Amazon to try and find what I need,
then use my toolbox to check out the vendor, and find out if the store that has it has their own website where
I can deal with them directly, often by phone. That seems to work much better, for me at least.

One vendor i found set up a "website only" order, tracking and contact method.
I will never do that again. No phone, no humans answering , no purchase.

hope this helps

I concur with Professor Marvel..

However, I haven't been in a Wally World in 9-11 years . ( except the Neighborhood Walmart Gas station occasionally , and then only pay at the pump )
I am guilty of Amazon use though and on occasion even eBay  ::)

I don't like Bozo Bezos, nor eBay- PayPal policies.... but an occasional necessary evil delving into den of iniquity.   ::)
