I made this from original photos. This rig was in his bedroom when he was shot. The design is incised with a stitch groover.

I made Frank's rig (also from original photos) a few months ago.

Very impressive. I am always amazed when someone can make something from a photo right down to the stamping and all.

This is a modern photo of the holster.

Have always thought it was a nice looking holster.

Beautiful work, pard. You nailed it on both. Outstanding!

WOW!... looks like a museum quality exact replica.  :o
I always found it interesting that most old west cartridge belts have every available inch covered with bullet loops... most modern reproduction cartridge belts have 24 or less.

Incredible work skeeter... that is a lot of sewing on that belt

Very nice. I'd be proud to wear those rigs.

Question-I have made a couple of Slim Jims but they seem to be so high on the belt that the weight of the revolver is above the center of gravity (the loop on the back of the holster) and the holster wants to turn upside down. Everyone tells me I'm crazy but have any other folks experienced this issue.  We always show the front of a holster but the back- how the loop is attached- would be very helpful.

Mine never put the pistol above the belt line. I like to get the rivet below the cylinder so as to not scratch or wear on it. They ride beautifully even when worn as a cross draw.

I do mine very similar to the Marshal.

Thanks, those look good but in the posted photos it looks like the trigger cutout area is the same in the front and the back and the way the holsters are shown on the cartridge belts- they look like they ride a lot higher.  Hope I explained it right.
