The unsatisfactory state of the first batch of Mark I Adams revolvers received by the NWMP is the reason they acquired  30 S&W Russian Model revolvers , to help tide them over until the Mark III Adams relacements were received and issued ... and that, in turn, is why I was so pleased to be able to obtain a repro S&W Russian recently ...

I do have a Mark III Adams (or, more correctly, a 3rd Model, since mine is a commercial production piece) which I could also use in conjunction with my NWMP impression ... as well a a Mark II Enfield revolver ... but they are rather pricey, and relatively rare, handguns to be "playing" with ...
