Just got a 65 carbine, it is original rimfire. I am new to these,
I believe it can be converted to centerfire. Any info on doing
this would be appreciated.

Howdy BTB,
Congratulations on getting a Spencer. Between me and Colton we got five , I got the first one back around 1980, they've been slowly multiplying ever since... and by the way, it was sure nice seeing you at the Buffalo match in Sept.  You sure did some very nice shooting, almost made me want to smash my trigger finger to see if that would improve my shooting...
Give me a call, Ive got several boolet moulds for the Spencers;  the most accurate boolets that I've found weigh in at 376 grains from 20/1 alloy with a wide flat meplat. they hiccup a bit occasionally feeding in the Armi Sport repro carbine, but are pretty slick in all the originals.  They'll go though a big bison and break the off shoulder.... I just cut down a Lee mould (the 515 grain that shoot well in my 50-70s)
PM me if you dont have my number or take a look at the Virginia Rifle & Pistol Club website, my contact info should be listed with the shoot calendar ( which needs to be updated for the coming season)..
It would be great to see some pics of your new Spencer....
Happy New Year to all!!,

OOHH, I forgot to add that we have CF conversion blocks from S&S, Buffalo Arms, and one that I made back in the 80s before I knew anything was available commercially.  It works well though and I keep it in the 1860 56-56 Spencer Infantry rifle. I like the Buffalo arms ones the best, not that there's a lot of difference, just my perspective.

Good to hear from you Big Goose, I have a centerfire conversion coming
from S&S. I slugged the bore and ordered a mold from accurate molds,
at .520". I've had good luck with a couple i ordered from them. Fun
learning about a new (old) gun and getting it to shoot.
