Hi, I own an 1860 Spencer Carbine ( 1864 production +-). The Forearm machine screw looks as if it had a washer on it ( looking at the indent in the wood). If it did have a washer, it must have been shaped so as to allow for the head of the screw to pass through and become flush with the wood when tightened. Does anyone have info on this? Thanks, John !

Thanks!!
Is the proper way to post to go to "calender" first? I am confused because there is no option like "new post"?
