What's the best "cowboy oriented" Christmas Gift that you have received?

I'm a knife lover and always have been.  My best Cowboys oriented Christmas gift was a replica 1869 Bowie knife.

My wife is not very cowboy but bless her heart, this year I may get a horse!
Life is a rush into the unknown, You can duck down real low and hope nothing hits you, Or stand up tall, show it your teeth, and say "Dish it up Baby and dont get stingy with the Peppers!!!"

Ozark Tracker

I've got to brag n my wife for the guns she has bought me, we have been together for 10 years and I can't count the number of guns she has talked me into buying,  one christmas a few years back she went down to the gun store and ordered an Old Army Ruger. stainless for me wrapped it up and completely surprised me when she gave it to me, I didn't even think she was listening when I said I'd like to have one!!  One year a pair of Ruger Vaquero's 45LC.  she is alwasy very vocal, when I buy a gun and always talks me into buying the exact one I want not the one I could get by with.

each and every one of you should have a spouse so supporitive, it's a whole different trip.  Makes gun shopping fun,  just kinda makes life fun.
We done it for Dixie,  nothing else

Birdgun Quail

Christmas 2004, my wife gave me a new Cimarron Model 1873 rifle.  That's my best "cowboy oriented" Christmas gift.  I shot my first CAS match the first Saturday in February 2005.
God bless,

I guess that would be a complete RCBS single stage press, .45 Colt dies and a pound of Unique to go with it.  :D :D :D  That was way back in '89!  ::) ::)  I had just gotten into CAS and wasn't into the Dark side yet!   :) :)  I still use that press for all my reloading!  :) :) :)

One year I got my 243 Browning deer rifle... complete with scope and sighted in and ready to go.
and then another year I got new chaps, and a fancy bridle and headstall and saddle blanket for my favorite gelding.

Ahhhh life is good.

When I first joined SASS, I knew it would take a long time to get all the guns and gear before I could actually start participating. (Any of you that have had two kids in college at the same time can relate)  My beloved wife bought me my first CAS pistol for Christmas one year.  I still use it, and always will.

Won't be the first time, probably won't be the last.  Jus hope they find it as funny as I meant it. ;D

Also so I'm on topic, my favorite cowboy Christmas gift was a little cowboy on a stick pony, hand painted by a very good fiend of mine.

Major 2

Wife bought me a Henry , Christmas 1999.

One Christmas about 1957or 58 my sister bought me a Paladin Rig and gun set.
I recall it was a nice Rig ,well made heavy black leather w/ the silver Kight Chess piece.
The 7 1/2 " engraved toy Colt had real walnut grips, and was blued.
I was about 9 but I still can see it in my mine's eye.

when planets align...do the deal !
