Armi San Paolo Firing pin

Does anybody have the dimensions of a Armi San Paolo carbine Firing pin ?

The dimensions of an original Winchester firing would also help.

It looks my firing pin is broken and I need the dimensions to fix or replace it.

Sail32 - I've heard of El Tigre 1873's, but never heard of Armi San Paolo 1873.  When were they made?  Comparable to Winchester or Uberti?

Abilene, the Armi San Paulo '73s were imported by Euroarms and I think by Dixie Gun Works. I believe they were closer to the original Winchesters than the Uberti's, so an original or replacement for an original part might work. I had a Euroarms 44-40 carbine for a while till my second oldest daughter laid claim to it as hers  , after which I replaced it with an 1882 Winchester 2nd model.  In all the time I had it and ever since she has we've never had to do anything to it to keep it running.

I will have to look around for a copy of that book.

The carbine is stamped, ( ARMI SAN PAOLO ) (MADE IN ITALY ), in 2 lines.  The proof stamp is ( AF ) for 1980.  http://www.powderhombre.com/mbpproofmarks.pdf

The person I bought it from had 2 of the carbines on the table. He had bought 20 from Europe and these 2 were all that were left.

Armi San Paolo became Euroarms and apparently from a internet search, the carbine parts are interchangeable with the original Winchester 1873s.

Thanks, very interesting.  I wonder if maybe Chaparral got hold of any of that machinery or tooling when they made '73's, since theirs was also supposed to be like originals.

Maybe try WinchersterBob parts.

Then choose the 1873 parts section.  He has both early and late firing pins.

I used him for other parts that worked for me.

I appears that I have the early firing pin the first page and shows as being below#92.000 in the original Winchesters.

I plan to have the gunsmith have a look at this Saturday.

Hi Abilene,

Does your book have information on the difference between the Type one Breech Pin Base ( Breech bolt ), and the types two and three.

The first page, 84, has some information but not enough.

My gunsmith has the type 2 an3 firing pins and it may be simpler to just alter the Breach Pin Base for the later firing pin.
