Compatibility Question

I have what I hope is a simple question. Is the brass trigger guard frame portion of an Uberti 1860 Army compatible with the Uberti Richards Conversion? If it is dimensionally close enough to bolt up and have the proper position for the main spring, that will work, too--I am not afraid to fit brass to the frame and grips.
