Howdy again, Old Dude!

One question no one has asked yet.  Do you plan to shoot Black Powder or Smokey-less?  The reason I ask is because normally I, being a die-hard Remington fan, would say for you to get the 1875 Remington.  However, Remington clones don't like black powder as well as Colts and Colt clones do.  Now, before one of my fellow Soot Lords gets in a tizzy over what I just said, the Rems, with the PROPER bullet (soft lead) and LUBE (like the BigLube [tm] bullets) can be made to work well, but it's not for the casual shooter.  I've been shooting BP guns (cap N ball types) for over 30 years ... and I'm still   learning all the tricks to make BP cartridges work trouble free - especially from a Remington.

The Remingtons I have (2 Uberti Outlaws) are probably the most accurate Cowboy guns I own and I love them!  They are a challenge with BP, however.  For NCOWS I try to always  or as often as possible, shoot BP and when I do, I usually take my Colt clone, which doesn't care what type of powder I use and it's a better shot than I am, anyway!  The guns you are looking at are also made in 44-40, which is one of the favorite BP cartridges.
