Drydock, don't you know that I've always thought that the 1895 SRC or especially the '95 musket was da bomb. And I'm already involved in my 1903 build, my Lewis Gun build and on the way back burner a Mini 300 blkout / garand idea. And you post a link to the wood I would need to start yet another build. What am I going to do with you? ........hmmmm, I could always buy the wood and put it in the corner and ... forget about it for a bit while I search for an appropriate donor rifle. Not too pretty, cracked stock but solid internally with correct sights. Hmmmm.

Here is where I've used my HF mill to build a .45 acp insert for a Lewis pan mag. Been messing with the paws that move the pan and lock it in place but haven't done a whole lot lately. Been working on my '03 but I'm getting to the staining part this weekend.

By the way, I discovered when I started playing with the paws that I had the 45 acp slots in the wrong spot and they should be aligned to the extended part of the mag not the recessed part. I had to turn my tray 1/2 in. Never said that I was smart, just tall.

I found a nice new looking Browning made [1970-80's] .30-06 1895 without the later Miroku tang safety. Has the correct front sight. Anyone need a nice 1895 stock set let me know. The Browning should morph into a NRA 1895 Musket just fine.
