Spencer Carbine seral # 54692
I know a carbine about 100 numbers earlier was issued to someone in Company A of the 3rd Kentucky Cavalry Regiment in Spring of 64

Serial #    54,797 Spencer Carbine issued to Co M, 4th CAV

Too much of a serial # range to make any definite conclusions as to unit YOUR Spencer issued to . . . above information from my SRS book.
