Lyman 310 .45 colt dies

Does anyone have experience with the lyman 310 with the .45 colt dies? I notice that the expander plug only does .451 of expansion, even though most reloading bullets are .452. I dont understand that part and the also the extractor claw mars up the rim. I was curious mainly for the reason that these are my only reloading components.  Any help would be appreciated
