LH5X9 and LH5X0, originally came from Long Hunter with their full on competition package.   Used them for almost 20 years before sending them off recently to John Adams for engraving.  Old two piece mother of pearl grips on them now while they wait for the carved ivory from Paul to get back.

The true beauty in that pair is you got to know how good they were before you gussied them up. And boy howdy, that is a fantastic job of making them into family heirlooms. :o

Thank you Gentlemen!  yes Sir,  they do shoot well.  I am a big believer that engraved guns need to earn the embellishments.  Mine get  nice grips first if they have proven to be better than average handguns, and may be if I really like them. then engraved.

A good many 1st Gen Colt have been "saved" when needing rebuilds or just a rust bucket that never did shoot well, by being engraved to hide those flaws.  And then sold off as "heirlooms".
