Do all Uberti Bisley models have the hammer block safety?

Will Uberti be switching the Bisley's to the retractable firing pin safety?

Did Uberti ever make Bisley's in .32-20?

Some also have the Extended Cylinder Base Pin.

Probably.

Have no clue.

Never heard of a 32-20 but since the barrels and cylinders are same as Model P, you could always make one.

Thanks Coffin and Abiline. That was my next question too, will a Uberti SAA barrel & cylinder fit a Uberti frame. They will so if I really want one I can make one.

Ah Ha.  NOW you ask the easy question.  First, Uberti Model P grips will NOT fit the Bisley.  No matter that apparently.  Now .... once you get forward of the "Bisley" parts, Barrels and Cylinders are the same.  You will probably have some fitting to do, but you should be able to go to VTI, buy a 32-20 cylinder w/Bushing and fit it up.  Same same with the Barrel.  The barrel Maxwell be a bit more fiddly but very doable.  Oh ..  almost forgot

PLUS ONE to Abilene  ;D

Another possibility to consider.  Unless you find a used Uberti Bisley, a new one (caliber and barrel length won't matter) plus new barrel and cylinder will run probably at least $800.   You won't find a Colt Bisley for that, but consider that the 32-20 Bisley's are the least expensive of the Colts, so you might want to save up a bit and hunt for one of those?  On the other hand, if you do it with an Uberti, you could probably sell the original cylinder and barrel to recoup some of your expense.

On the Europian Uberti page is the 1873 Cattleman available in .32-20 in all barrel lengths.
Surly the barrel and cylinder of a Bisley and a 1873 are the same, so a change should be possible.

How about asking Uberti Italy, the did reply to me in English and were able to help.

Good luck.

Barrel and cylinder swap but there won't be any grip frame swapping without welding. The Bisley comes up higher around the hammer well and has its own dedicated frame.

Craig,  Me thinks the plan is source a nice Uberti Bisley, no matter the caliber, dump the cylinder and Barrel and swap in a 32-20 Barrel and cylinder.  Very Doable.

That's definitely the easiest way to go about it. Did that myself when I found a good deal on a Bisley .357 with factory Persinger ivory. Not sure what its fate will be but it is destined to become something other than a .357.

Coffin is right. If I did this I would but a Bisley and swap the barrel and cylinder for .32-20. I probably won't do it though. I don't have the expertise to do the swap myself and for what I'd have to pay a gunsmith to do it I might rather just buy a Bisley in .44-40 and an SAA in .32-20.

My wife and I shoot a lot of 32-20.  Her SASS guns are all 32-20, rifle and two pistols.  I really like the caliber.  Helps to know most of the Bisleys were made in 32-20.  My Grandfathers Bisley was rebarreled day one in 1912 to 38wcf from 32-20.

DGW has the Bisley in 44 Special...which would be a great choice if you reload.   44-40 is you are set up for that.  Spare cylinder would do both.  But have to think of all the calibers that a Bisley would really shine in...38 Special or 357 would be it.  Really nice to reload, cheap and super accurate.  Heavy gun, light recoil and  one you could bump up to full 357 mag numbers if you wanted to.

A 38-40 Bisley would have me wanting to buy a 38 cylinder and rechamber it for a .41 Special or heaven forbid, 41 mag.
44 Special would make more sense though :)

I really want to buy a pair of BP 32-20s from Dixie but Cimarron tells me they have cross pin 32s coming in soon.  Not like I need another SAA :)  Might need to buy some spare hammers though!
