Barrel change?

Will an Uberti 1860 army barrel fit on an Uberti open top ?

No.  The percussion barrels/frames are not compatible with the cartridge barrels/frames.

Some years back, I screwed up one of our past contributors when I indicated an octagonal 1851 barrel would mount on an Open Top Frame.  I neglected to mention I was using an 1851 barrel from a Uberti 1851 Richards Mason  dedicated conversion.  OOPS.  Must be very careful when planning a parts "swap."
