Can anyone tell me what kind of thread has the Action Slide Hook Screw on a Winchester 1897?

Please have a look at #37 at http://marauder.homestead.com/files/97parts.htm

I've got a lathe and want to build it by myself

That part broke on my '97. My 'smith made me one and a spare. I don't recall him saying anything about the thread, so I assume it was standard SASE, if that's the term.

Is this a real Winchester or an import?
The 2 will not interchange.
Why not just order one from here.

It's an original Winchester.
Thought about #10-32 UNF thread  but I'm not sure.

I always want to try it by myself before buying a spare part

You have the 'hook'. Very easy to confirm. ;)
