Shot clean with the 1866 at a River City Regulators match in Yolo, CA.  really slick!

First picture is an action shot, second one should have a caption, "Dang this puppy shoots GOOD!"

:o looking at the angle of your action shot how CLOSE is that target ? ...I'm guessing 5 yards max.  :-\ Rifle ?

when planets align...do the deal !

Actually about 10.  The platform was high, and up on a slight berm. Also, they were on short stands.  This club shoots really close and really big targets.  My home club uses clay pigeons and tin cans at 25 yards for rifle targets, and always does a round of Cowboy trap for one stage.  That's more my style.  I went down the hill (2 hours away) to meet and shoot with a friend.  This club I was at yesterday was actually where I shot my very first match in 1994.

Thanks pard,  You can also thank MT Marfield.  Because he gave me a great deal on a 44-40 Henry, I was able to give a great deal to you on the 1866.  Also in part due to the fact that I looked around and saw I had two main match rifles, five main match pistols, two shotguns, two pocket pistols, and two long range rifles - when I shoot maybe one match a month.... That was just too many CAS guns.

Thank you for pointing that out.  Ever since I read Tualumne's last sentence, I've been sitting here in stunned silence.  I don't know how to respond to ridiculous statements like that.  :D

Thank you,  Coffinmaker.  I guess that I'm just gullible. I took his comment seriously. I do feel better now.
