Ruger has listened to customers and brought back the original large frame Vaquero. It's a Talo Exclusive high gloss stainless, 5 1/2"  barrel, serrated front sight, lower, wider hammer. Right now it's only available in 44 Magnum.

Good idea, I bought one of the smaller frame guns in.45 a few years ago for my daughter inlaw and can't stand to shoot it. Dang thing knocks the heck out of my knuckles every time I pull the trigger. My old full sized .45 s/s vaqueros are much more comfortable but I don't shoot s/a any more. I'd rather shoot my 1911 and DA's any time.

Davidson's released a similar gun back in 1999.  It was a convertible original Vaquero with .45 Colt and .45 ACP cylinders included.  Barrell was 4 5/8" and it came with a set of wood grips (shown) and a set of black plastic grips.  It did not have a serrated front sight or a lowered, wider hammer.
