Got this in e-mail, so I figured to post it here to see if anyone can help this fella out. His E-mail is at the bottom of his message, so if you can help, please reply directly to him.

FORWARDED MESSAGE:

Hello,

I am searching for a Uberti Schofield in .45 LC with a 7 inch barrel.

When I can find one, they cost is about $1000 before taxes and FFL charges. Ouch!

Since I am planning on having the pistol Parkerized, a used but tight fitting and shooting pistol would be of great interest.

Would you happen to know of any dealers who might have such a pistol?

Thank you so much for your assistance,

Wow,

I guess that this post makes me about as transparent as I could get...

Since I sent this email, I have gotten a very very nice set of Schofields, as well as:

A Baikal SXS 12 ga.

A Winchester Model 94 in .45 LC

A Cap Coyote Model '87 12 ga

A CodyMatic (Uberti) Model 73 in .45 LC that also fires .45 Schofield

A Pietta Remmie '63 with a cartridge conversion to .32 S&W short

And lastly, a very fine pair of Ruger Old Armys, SS 5 1/2" Barrel, fixed sites.

OH yes, and a Pietta '51 Colt that will be a 'holster queen' ; it will only be worn as I perform docent duties in Old Sacramento in the New Year....

Plus a couple of Bowies, and a couple of Belduques....

So now I think I will just catch my breath until the start of the New Year at least
