Blackpowder Burn

Well, I've been lusting after one of the new Henry Repeating Arms "Original Henry's" since they were introduced.  I finally arranged the finances to purchase one today in my favorite configuration - 24-1/4" barrel and 44-40 chambering.  It is absolutely beautiful - the best polish and bluing I've seen in a VERY long time.  The machine work is flawless to my unprofessional eyes, brass is beautifully polished and wood is extremely pretty.  The action of also quite smooth from the box.  No modifications needed as far as I'm concerned.

It will be perfect for Frontiersman category along with my 1860 Colt's!  ;D

I'm going to the range tomorrow morning to make some smoke with it and break it in right!

I got mine a bit over 3 years ago.....

It has digested both BP & Smokeless (mostly Black Hill 44/40) but has seen Ultra Max & Magtech.

Congratulations in your purchase, the pride & pleasure of owning one, will out weight the momentary sting in the wallet.

Major 2,

I've lusted after one ever since you did your first review.  I'm headed to the range this morning with my standard BP load to break it in right!  I can see it along with my 1860 Army's and my old Remington hammered double at the upcoming Texas State match!  ;D
