Was at the range with a friend today shooting his original Spencer Infantry Rifle, with black powder loads.  We had no problems hitting the one hundred yard long range rifle target with a center hold.  He plans to use it in the Muster in June.  Who else will be shooting a Spencer this year?

I'll be shoting my carbine again this year.  'course it's a repro, not original.

I haven't decided yet. Either I'll shoot my Spencer or one of my trapdoors

Well that sure sounds like a lot of fun! All I ever find for a decent price are the carbines-never the musket or rifle version-very cool Sir!

Niederlander

It IS very cool!  He traded into pretty reasonably, and it is a GREAT shooter!  I personally like the rifles better than the carbines, as the carbines always seemed way to light at the muzzle, for me at least.
