Henry Big Boy???

I have had a BB in .357 for 3 years now and only one hiccup.  Not the fault of the gun but,  I was using lead bullets without a crimp groove and I didn't crimp one enough, and the bullet got pushed down into the casing.  Other than that the gun itself hasn't failed me but, then again, I'm not a competitive shooter. At my age, I have won my category as soon as I fire the first round.

Heck, I also have a Chaparral 66 in .357 and it works well.

I have heard all the Henry crap for years now.
I know serval pards who shoot them every shoot .
With No Issues !
Not very fast shootets but the rifle does work .

I bought one to see for myself .
I took a new HRA Big Boy 44 mag right out of the box .
And shot a clean match with it !

Not with any speed but not with any hang ups ether .

So they will work .
But they will Not win any matches .

And no I dont use a HRA rifle  normally.

The Henry Big Boy is not a Replica of anything made in the era of Western Action Shooting .

It does not lend itself, to the finer art @ Speed in Western Action Shooting, anymore than say a  casual jogger VS Usain Bolt !


Here on this Board, ubiquitous WE are persons who like, knows about, and appreciates and usually fervently pursue the interest of Western Action Shooting.

We are not in any way the majority of Henry Repeating Arms customer base. Even though they do produce an 1860  & an 1860 Steel Frame.

Henry Repeating Arms is a American Manufacture that makes (many) well factory supported & warrantied Firearms should a need arise.
They employ American workers.... and they stand with us in the face of the 2nd Amendment infringing Liberals & gun grabbers.

Is the Henry Big Boy a Completive CAS gun....no
the Best Deer Gun... probably not

is it a popular , Shooter for the general shooting public ....sure ....
