76 FIRING PIN EXTRACTOR !!!

"OK",,,Here's   another one,,,,,,the rifle cocks fine "BUT" the extractor will not hold the firinf pin back,,,"thud not snap",,miss fire,,,i have oberserved the extractor "a bizzzillon times,,it just kind of flops around. Sometimes it will work,,,as long as the barrel is pointed "UP",,or turned on it's side,,SOME TIME'S. Need to make a new one?

 New firing pin & retractor ,,coming from Winchester Bob,,But ,I went ahead and made a new one ,,used the "DF" (DREMEL& FILE) method,,i made mine a bit thicker and slightly wider at the tip that fit's into the firing pin bevel.,,,now the firing pin don't rotate ,( the old one twisted back & forth ,,a lot),,filled the looong cut on the hammer end of the firing pin( about 3/16") then slowly dressed it till the hammer cocked full .Put her together,,,throwed 3 rds. in the mag. ,,bean can @ about 25-30 ft. ,,bang,,,bang,,,bang,, ( only 2 hits ) ,,,I'm STROKED!!!!.
